The Pioneers' Club (PCU), which often meets at the "Zunfthaus zum Safran" restaurant in Zurich, was founded in 2003 as a non-profit organisation in order to facilitate, simplify and promote the exchange of experiences and expertise among young and established entrepreneurs alike. Today, the PCU network boasts more than 400 active pioneers. The Advisory Board includes Dr Thomas Waldkirch, President of the Technopark Foundation and Dr Hans Peter Wehrli, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Business Administration and IT at the University of Zurich and a member of the Board of Directors of various exchange-listed companies.
PCU promotes the entrepreneurial spirit by establishing an environment that motivates individuals to take their own initiative. Numerous PCU programmes around the world enable and promote cross-industry and cross-border dialog among both young and more experienced entrepreneurs. In carrying out these activities, the PCU is perceived by the interested public, academic organisations and business people as an innovative entrepreneurial networking organisation.
