Open an account online

With CIC ON, opening an account or cleverinvest portfolio online is easy – you can do it in just a few steps.

In CIC eLounge, one of the most state-of-the-art e-banking solutions in Switzerland is available to you as soon as you open your account. In eLounge, you can open and make direct use of other accounts or investment options, such as cleverinvest and pension solutions, at any time.

Are you an adult resident in Switzerland and a national of Switzerland or one of the countries on our list? Then all you need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC with a camera, a valid ID and a few minutes of your time.

What do you need to open an account or cleverinvest portfolio online?

An account or cleverinvest portfolio can currently be opened online by individuals who are adult, resident in Switzerland and have Swiss nationality or one of the nationalities on our list.*
Your identity will be verified during the online account-opening process on the basis of a valid identity document (passport or identity card). It is easiest if you use your mobile device for this.
To finish the opening, you need to pay at least CHF 1.00 into your new account at Bank CIC from a Swiss account in your name.
Once your first account or cleverinvest portfolio has been successfully activated, you will be able to open other accounts (including in foreign currencies), portfolios and cleverinvest portfolios easily in CIC eLounge.

What can you do if the conditions are not met?

If you are unable to meet the conditions to open an account or a cleverinvest portfolio, please contact us so that we can find a suitable solution for you.

* If you would like to open a client relationship but your nationality is not on our list, please present yourself in person with your passport at one of our branches in Switzerland so that we can perform the necessary identification checks.
