Basel, 15 December 2025 – Following the appointment of Livia Moretti, currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CIC (Switzerland), as Managing Director of Banque de Luxembourg, David Fusi, currently a member of the Executive Committee and Head of the Commercial Department, has been appointed CEO of CIC (Switzerland). Maurizio Pierazzi, currently Head of the Specialised Solutions for Businesses and Entrepreneurs segment, will take over as Head of the Commercial Department and will join the Executive Committee. Livia Moretti will remain closely involved in the bank's strategic direction, the Swiss market and its economy, following her appointment to the Board of Directors of CIC (Switzerland)1.
On 15 March 2026, Livia Moretti will succeed Pierre Ahlborn, who is retiring after 38 years with Banque de Luxembourg, including 26 as Chief Executive Officer. This decision by Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, the sole shareholder of CIC (Switzerland), reflects its confidence in Livia Moretti and recognition of her achievements since taking up her position as CEO of CIC (Switzerland) at the beginning of 2023.
However, Livia Moretti will not be leaving CIC (Switzerland) entirely, as she will take over the seat vacated by Pierre Ahlborn on the Board of Directors on 15 March 2026.
"We searched within the group for the person with the necessary skills, and Livia Moretti's profile quickly stood out to us. She has undeniable international experience and, above all, she has done a brilliant job at CIC (Switzerland), particularly in the areas of good governance, risk control, customer loyalty and profitability, with a new strategy that is already bearing fruit. Over the last two years, CIC (Switzerland) has twice achieved record profits in excess of CHF 40 million, a result that had never been achieved before. The year 2025 should follow the same positive trend. I am therefore fully confident in handing over the reins of Banque de Luxembourg to him," commented Eric Charpentier, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIC (Switzerland) and Banque de Luxembourg.
"The past three years in Switzerland have been intense and rich in encounters. I would like to thank my colleagues on the Management Committee and my staff for their commitment, and I have every confidence in them to continue the development of CIC (Switzerland). My appointment to the Board of Directors will allow me to remain involved in the development of our bank in Switzerland and in the ongoing collaboration between Luxembourg and Switzerland," she emphasised.
In a move consistent with its ongoing strategy, the Board of Directors has appointed David Fusi, a member of the CIC (Switzerland) Executive Committee since 2011, to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Thanks to his expertise and extensive experience in the banking sector, including 20 years in management positions at CIC (Switzerland), David Fusi has contributed to strengthening governance and risk culture, as well as developing business units of strategic importance to the bank.
In this spirit of continuity and stability, Maurizio Pierazzi has been appointed head of the commercial department and will join the Executive Committee. Maurizio Pierazzi has spent the last 10 years developing solutions for businesses and entrepreneurs, particularly in the field of corporate finance. In this role, Maurizio Pierazzi has been heavily involved in developing the commercial strategy.
These governance changes illustrate the desire of CIC (Switzerland), as well as the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale group, to capitalise on both its experts and its successes, while ensuring continuity, development and stability.
