  • Potential uses

    You can adjust the potential uses of your card yourself in eLounge. You can activate or deactivate the following areas at any time. 

    • Withdrawals from cash machines
    • Online shopping
    • Contactless in-store payments
    • Online betting and gambling

    All potential uses are activated by default.

  • Secure online payments with 3-D Secure (3DS)

    Many online retailers use 3-D Secure to make online payments safer. This is a recognised international security standard. Transactions will not be executed without your authorisation. This lets you keep control of all online payments. The decision as to whether a transaction uses 3-D Secure processing is taken by the retailer.

    Once the card has been delivered you will receive a separate letter with instructions on how to register for 3-D Secure. For this you need to download the DebiX app.

    If you do not want to make online payments, you do not need this app.

  • Limits

    You can adjust your limits independently and flexibly in eLounge. The Visa Debit Card offers various limits that can be set individually:

    • Limits for withdrawals at cash machines
    • Limits for online shopping
    • Limits for in-store purchases
    • Overall limits

    For all limits you can set a daily and monthly maximum. The default setting is CHF 3,000 per day and CHF 5,000 per month.

  • Geoblocking

    For your own security, you can activate and deactivate individual regions and countries in eLounge. If a country is not active, all payment transactions are blocked (except for online purchases).

    The Visa debit card is activated for transactions in all countries as standard. However, you can adjust your geoblocking settings at any time in CIC eLounge.

  • Other functions

    If you forget your PIN you can order a new one in eLounge with just one click. If your lose your Visa Debit Card you can block it online immediately. If your find your card again, you can also unblock it. You can order a new card too.
