With effect from 1 September, the former positions of Head of Investments and CIO at CIC (Switzerland) will merge into the new function of Head of Asset Management. Patrik Janovjak, formerly the person responsible for investments and pensions at Raiffeisen cooperative, has been selected for the new role. The Basel native is no stranger to the bank having worked for it from 2001 to 2008 as CIO & Head of Investment Management & Research. “CIC (Switzerland) has undergone remarkable development over the past few years. As a Basel native, it gives me great pleasure to return, a bit like coming home, and to be able to apply my experience to the bank’s future progress as well as its asset management operations,” commented Patrik Janovjak.

With over 25 years of experience in private and institutional asset management within Swiss banking establishments, Patrik Janovjak was selected not only for his skills in developing highly evolutionary, client-oriented investment solutions adapted to the market but also for the solidity of his governance model and global risk management. “Patrik Janovjak has demonstrated a strong performance orientation, while measuring the strategic impact and ensuring sustainable asset development,” stressed David Fusi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CIC (Switzerland).

This change follows the recent resignation of Luca Carrozzo, current CIO, who wished to follow a new career path following 17 years at the bank. CIC (Switzerland) is excited about the next developmental phases of its investment operations under Patrik Janovjak’s management.
