Eric Charpentier

Eric Charpentier

Chairman | Eric Charpentier joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since then.
A mathematician and specialist in financial techniques, Eric Charpentier is Deputy General Manager at Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC) in France, responsible for Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Private Banking and Asset Management. He joined Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe in 1998 and was responsible for Finance and Corporate. In 2004, he was appointed Deputy General Manager. He has been General Manager of Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe since 2006 and a member of the Board of Directors of Crédit Industriel et Commercial, Paris since 2015. Numerous other mandates as a board member within and outside the financial sector testify to his versatility and experience in managing companies.
Burger Roland

Roland Burger

Vice-President | Roland Burger has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since June 2018 and its Vice-President since June 2021.
Roland Burger is partner and member of the Board of Directors and senior management of PKF Certifica AG and is responsible for the regions of German- and French-speaking Switzerland.
As a federally certified auditor and FINMA-accredited lead auditor for banks, securities traders and financial market infrastructures, he has broad-based experience in auditing and consulting. He was a long-standing partner at BDO, and as a member of senior management there he was responsible for the Financial Services product area, leading numerous international, national and regional auditing mandates. He served many years as a member of the commission for bank auditing of EXPERTsuisse.
In his spare time he likes to participate in sports and is interested in music and culture.
Alborn Pierre

Pierre Ahlborn

Member | Pierre Ahlborn has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since 2001.
After completing completing his doctorate master's studies in natural sciences and geography at U.L.P. Strasbourg and obtaining a Master in Business Studies at the University of Essex in Great Britain, Luxembourg-borne Pierre Ahlborn began his banking career in 1988 at Banque de Luxem-bourg, where he has been Managing Director since 2000. He also holds a number of board of di-rector mandates, including at the European Fund Administration, the Luxembourg Bankers' Asso-ciation (ABBL), the Luxembourg Red Cross and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. In his free time, the father of four enjoys sailing, cooking, skiing, music and art.
Chaffard Jean-Albert

Jean-Albert Chaffard

Member | Jean-Albert Chaffard has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since September 2017.
Jean-Albert Chaffard has a degree in Finance and Business Administration from a University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration and the University of Panthéon-Assas in Paris. He has been the Director of International Activities at the CIC Group since April 2017. Previously, he was the Managing Director of CIC Nord Ouest. Jean-Albert Chaffard has been with the CIC Group since 1990 – initially as Regional Manager and Head of Business Clients at CIC Lyonnaise de Banque, and then at the Crédit Mutuel CM11 Group as Business Clients Director.

David Hérault

Member | David Hérault has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since June 2022.
David Hérault graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Tours and holds a post-graduate diploma in banking and financial management. After 11 years as a general inspector at the Confédération Nationale du Crédit Mutuel he then worked on development projects on the board of the group's leasing subsidiary. Since 2012 he has been in charge of corporate development at Banque Fédérative du Crédit Mutuel; since 2017 he has been a director of Paysurf.

Sabine Schimel

Member | Sabine Schimel has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since June 2022.
Sabine Schimel has a degree in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique and is an economic statistician. She started her career in the French Ministry of Finance, before moving on to management roles in various banks and insurance companies. In 2018 she joined Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe as a deputy general director, switching to Crédit Mutuel Equity in 2022, where she holds the rank of general director of Crédit Mutuel Capital with special responsibility for the international business. She also sits on the boards of Beobank in Belgium and Groupe La Française.

Florence Parly

Member | Florence Parly has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since November 2023.
Florence Parly is a French politician and manager. She started her career in the Business and Finance Ministry (Direction du Budget). From 2000 to 2002, she was Secretary of State for the Budget. She then moved into business and held various management roles in the Air France-KLM Group. In 2014, she joined SNCF, becoming CEO of SNCF Voyageurs in 2016. She was also a member of the Pension Monitoring Committee, which reports to the prime minister. From June 2017 to May 2022, she was Minister of Defence. She also sits on several boards of directors and supervisory boards.

Sophie Maillard

Member | Sophie Maillard has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since November 2023.
Sophie Maillard brings considerable professional experience and expertise in banking law and financial regulation. A qualified lawyer, she spent many years in the public sector at FINMA, where she was responsible for issuing authorisations, supervising banks and financial services companies and advising financial intermediaries. She began her career at Credit Suisse, picking up practical experience of financial law in the customer advisory business. She is currently deputy CEO and member of the Board of Directors of BRP Bizzozero & Partners in Geneva, a firm specialising in banking compliance she helped to found more than 13 years ago. She also sits on the boards of directors of several Swiss financial services companies.

Thierry Marais

Member | Thierry Marais has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since November 2023.
Thierry Marais is a consultant with over 30 years of experience in the banking sector. Until 2023, he held a management role at BNP Paribas running teams of senior bankers, having previously been responsible for advising on M&A in the financial sector. He acted in an advisory capacity in many major transactions between European banks, including the merger of the Caisses d’Épargne and the Banques Populaires to create BPCE Group and the takeover of Fortis and BNL by BNP Paribas. Since 2023, he has been an independent consultant focusing on the financial industry. He is a member of the French Financial Analysts Society SFAF and holds a company director’s qualification from Sociétés Sciences Po-IFA, a master’s degree from NEOMA Business School and a diploma in financial analysis.

Roger H. Hartmann

Member | Roger H. Hartmann has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bank CIC since November 2023.
Roger H. Hartmann is an experienced banker specialising in asset management and transforming business models in the financial sector. He has 25 years of experience abroad and 15 in Switzerland. Amongst other positions, he was CEO of UBS (Luxembourg) S.A. from 2001 to 2007, and then worked as a partner at a consulting firm before serving as CEO of other financial institutions in Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Switzerland. He now lives in Lausanne and works as a consultant for or member of the boards of directors of a dozen companies and associations and is involved in university teaching and professional education.
