Harmonising payment transactions
The way payments are transacted in Switzerland was harmonised, bringing them into line with the new international standard ISO 20022.
This marked the first step towards standardising and simplifying payments and moving into the digital future.
Red (ES) and orange (ESR) payment slips have now been replaced by the new QR-bill. Digital eBills are already available as a potential replacement for payment slips.
